Humble Beginnings
From the vibrant shores of Jamaica to the bustling streets of New York City at only 16, author Debbie Daley-Salinger left her homeland, a high school graduate brimming with ambition. With boundless pursuit, Debbie’s educational odyssey produced degree after degree from Brooklyn College and Asbury Theological Seminary. Two decades as a corporate manager in the technology industry were filled with the honors of achievement. She then earned her Doctor of Ministry from Portland Seminary.
A Powerful Calling
Dr. Debbie Daley-Salinger is now a United Methodist Ordained Elder in the Florida Conference. She is the Senior Pastor at St. Paul UMC in Jacksonville.
But her story is far more than degrees, positions, and accolades. With a heart that beats for the marginalized, Debbie leads transformation initiatives. Her spiritual gifts—shepherding, teaching, exhortation, discernment, and missionary work—also make her a highly-sought speaker for community ecumenical services and week-long Revivals.
Beyond ministry, Debbie enjoys the simple pleasures of life after 37 years of marriage and three remarkable daughters. Whether meditative beach walks or Bible study or fellowship, whether enjoying new restaurants, diverse cultures, music, books, or movies, Debbie’s walk with God is continually nourished.
